Our team is changing, and this summer we said goodbye to Ruby, who has been an important part of SG Papertronics and the Beer-o-Meter journey.
Ruby has decided to follow her dream of becoming an academic teacher, and we are very happy for her. We keep our fingers crossed for her new adventure and wish her every success! Luckily, she will still be working on the same campus, so we hope she will visit us from time to time.
Before leaving, Ruby made sure that the transition would be smooth. She helped onboard our newest team member, Jelmer Coenradij, and introduced him to the laboratory, our technology and his new responsibilities.
Jelmer joins us as an R&D Scientist while finishing his doctorate in Life Sciences. His scientific background makes him a great addition to our team, especially as we continue developing new analytical applications and helping customers understand what is happening inside their fermentation processes.
But there is another qualification that makes Jelmer particularly well suited to Beer-o-Meter: he is a homebrewer and winemaker himself!
For us, that is a big plus. Our work is not only about producing numbers. It is about understanding fermentation, asking the right questions and turning measurements into practical decisions. Having someone who understands both the science and the experience of making fermented beverages creates a natural connection with our customers.
You will probably meet Jelmer during brewery visits, laboratory projects and customer trials.
Welcome to the team, Jelmer and Ruby, good luck with your new adventure!
